The August advance child tax credit payments were scheduled to be deposited on Friday, August 13th. However, due to an issue at the IRS, some payments were not processed correctly. Therefore, if you are eligible for the advance payment and did not receive a direct deposit, you should receive a paper check in the mail by the end of August.
Important: Regardless of how you receive your payments, you must track them and provide details with your 2021 tax information. It will be imperative that the prepayment amounts that you receive are reported to us when we prepare your tax return.
